Hello!

About Jennifer

Hello! My name is Jennifer Binnendyk, and I am the owner, Licensed Acupuncturist, and Functional Medicine provider at Eastern Plains Acupuncture & Wellness. I am deeply committed to patient-centered care and believe that true healing happens when treatment is individualized, comprehensive, and focused on the whole person.

Through Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and Functional Medicine, I support your body’s innate ability to heal by addressing the root cause of imbalance, rather than simply managing symptoms.

My approach emphasizes prevention, long-term wellness, and restoring balance—helping you feel better in your body, think more clearly, and live with greater vitality.

I first discovered acupuncture while doing some soul-searching to find a career that felt meaningful and aligned with my desire to serve others. With a genuine belief in natural medicine and the body’s healing potential, I enrolled at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2012. I completed the program in 28 months, receiving 2,265 hours of training in Acupuncture and TCM, and earned my Master of Science in Acupuncture in 2015.

My education sparked a lifelong passion for learning and deepened my appreciation for this ancient system of medicine that works by harmonizing the body’s energy and internal systems. I am a Colorado-licensed Acupuncturist, certified in Clean Needle Technique, and I use only sterile, single-use needles. Patient safety, comfort, and trust are always my top priorities.

To further enhance the care I offer, I expanded my training into Functional Medicine, graduating from Functional Medicine University (FMU) in November 2025. Functional Medicine allows me to take a deeper, investigative approach to health by using detailed health history, advanced lab testing when appropriate, and personalized nutrition and lifestyle strategies.

Traditional Chinese Medicine and Functional Medicine are a powerful combination.

TCM views the body through patterns of imbalance and energetic flow, while Functional Medicine provides insight into physiological systems such as hormones, digestion, immune function, and metabolism. Together, they create a comprehensive approach that blends ancient wisdom with modern science—allowing for deeper understanding, more precise treatment, and lasting results.

My Personal Story

As a mother of two young children, I am continually reminded of the importance of balance—both in health and in life. Much like life itself, Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that balance is dynamic and ever-changing. While I don’t claim to have mastered it, acupuncture has been an essential tool in helping me feel grounded, connected, and resilient, and it remains one of my favorite forms of self-care.

I value being a healthy role model for my children and my community and strongly believe in preventative care. I feel deeply aligned when supporting others on their healing journey, and it brings me great joy to witness the powerful changes that can occur when the body is supported and brought back into balance.

Serving my community has always been a source of purpose for me. I look forward to helping you reach your goals and supporting your journey toward greater balance in your body, mind, and spirit.

Jennifer's Philosophy as an Acupuncturist

- I’m here to help you ignite your bodies own natural HEALING abilities.

       - I believe that our bodies have the ability to self-heal.

- Because no body is the same, I believe in precise diagnosis and treatments individualized to every specific patient.

       - Finding the root of your condition and applying a holistic approach that looks at your body system as a whole, not just a collection of your symptoms.

- I value pharmaceutical medications and life saving technologies, and recognize that at times is necessary.

       - I believe that pharmaceuticals are not the only option you have regarding your health concerns.

- I believe in  educating the patient and setting you up for success.

       - Having the desire to take charge of your health is what motivates us to being committed thus create long-term changes in our life. When you understand the process you are more inclined to achieve positive change.
